This movie SUCKED!! the only thing i remembered was trying not to fall asleep.

what I liked was the explicit distinction they had between the machine and the man. the sockpeople can think and develop because they're composed of the soul of the scientist...whereas the machines can only follow their programming to the letter...so they taught the brain to kill people it said "ok i'll kill people" and it killed ALL people. meanwhile the sock people can survive and plan and create...

I notice a lot of people missed that theme in the movie, perhaps because it's only touched upon briefly. The reason humanity's dead isn't cause they used technology it's cause they misused it. Like the atom bomb. They took something really powerful (an artificial brain) and rather than have it solve problems they taught it to KILL PEOPLE. gee no wonder it backfired.

What they fail to realize is that 9 is one of those movies you have to see multiple times to notice the depth in characters and that the plot is more then what it seems. The first time I watched it all I was watching were the visuals after seeing it another 6 times (because I'm a 9tard) I noticed all kinds of new things each time. It's really hard to put into words how I feel about it but I think it deserves more credit. And that's all I'm going to say lest I go into a multi-comment tangent

im going to say this has to be one of the few occasions that i agree with Rotten Tomatoes... the movies wasnt terrible, the plot was ok, but the entire meaning behind the movie just wasnt there.
The whole movie was kinda like listening to the lottery, just "2-! 3-! 4-!"
(continuing)
"7! 9-! 5!"
I loled so hard...
I admit there was not much solid plotline, but I'd say 9 was quite enjoyable, because as soon as I realized the lack of plot I shut my mind off to just enjoy the visuals. :P

True that 9 may have lacked a substantial plot,
but it kept me engaged through and through.
Overall, 9 was an enjoyable film that shouldn't be too condescended upon.
