Volvo Ocean Race 2008 - Alicante In-Port Races

On the first day of the 2008-09 Volvo Ocean Race, October 4, Telefonica Blue struck the first blow by winning both of the two in-port races on Alicante Bay. The double victory took the Spanish yacht, skippered by Dutchman Bouwe Bekking, top of the overall standings with four points, marginally ahead of sister ship, Telefonica Black. Leg one of the round the world race, from Alicante to Cape Town, South Africa, starts next Saturday, October 11. Available video includes an edited package of the first two in-port races.
