College Hockey Highlights: Northern Michigan vs. Bowling Green, 11.15.08

Hockey, and specifically at the college level, is by nature a highly physical sport. While shooting this game just before Thanksgiving in 2008, I tried to capture the feel of a fan sitting along the boards at the BGSU Ice Arena. I edited the first minute or so to show the intensity and hard-hitting action found at one of these games.

Gathering audio again proved a problem, as Northern Michigan's coach Walt Kyle was extremely soft-spoken after his team's second-consecutive 2-1 loss. I had to bump the gain up in post pretty high to even hear what he was saying. But overall, this was a fun game recap to edit, as there were so many elements of the game to include. The real highlight comes near 3:40.

Even as a Western Michigan fan, I highly enjoyed this. Always enjoyed watching games at BGSU Arena.
