Spokane's original post-punk DIY new wave group Sweet Madness in a music video for their 1980 song "Mechanical Things". As featured in the documentary SpokAnarchy. Sweet Madness (Jan, John, Don and Mark) existed from 1978 till 1981. Members later played in Next Exit which then became Variant Cause. Directed by City Graphics. Camera and Editing by Don Jensen and Jerry Cook. Clothes by Reactive Wear. Mechanical Things by Robinson and published by Rat Boggle Music ASCAP.

Oh my GOD. I never thought I'd see this again. In 1991-1992, our high school radio/tv program inherited several boxes of 3/4" U-Matic tapes from Pinnacle Productions (I think) and as we went through them all, we discovered one of the edit tapes from this session. When we saw it, it was running at "regular" speed. We got a huge kick out of it, watching it over and over, and never knew what it was.
