beaten or not the shows themselves are bad enough. It is so embarrassing seeing these beautiful animas doing humiliating tricks how is this entertainment? Is anybody stupid enough to pay to see these shows and watch the whole thing without realizing how unnatural and sickening it is? i really don't understand why we can't just leave the tricks to humans and leave animals in peace to do what they want which i'm guessing isn't wedging themselves into tiny cars and spinning round on their heads.

@retownsend you can train animals w love and care. Not strip elephants from their mothers at age 2 when they're supposed to be w them for about 15 years. They beat them w bullhooks and train them out of fear.

Don't you people be surprised when you have to evacuate the tent because an animal get "out of control" To be honest I hope one of the animals fights back. Sick bastards think they can do whatever they want to those poor animals.

@ecipek every business is greedy for money... that's why businesses exist

what is this crap about unnatural tricks? is it natural to teach a dog to roll over or play dead? is it natural to sit on the back of a horse and use reins to steer it in a certain direction? i don't see how either of these is different than a trainer telling an elephant to walk around an arena, spin around in a circle, sit on a stool or put its legs on another elephant's back- and that's all the elephants do
ringling breeds their elephants- horses were wild animals before we domesticated them

People, people, you all have to understand this, though. I don't support the abuse they put these animals through, either. But the ringling brothers circus has been around since 1907, and is probably one of the best known circuses out there. Sadly, there's not much we can do. And you have to think about it, not all the trainers there abuse those animals.

can you still purchase the video?

Blah, blah, lodu noisy music, glitter, cheap tricks and what's behind thew the scene: greed for money and "fame" and the saddest thing: exploited fearful animal slaves that don't get to live their own lives in peace. You want some "excitment" ? Put your finger into the electric output and see what it's like for the animals.

@ecsteer1 I was 5 when I saw my first (and last) circus, and even as a child, I was in shock. I was disappointed seeing these animals do such acts. The only animals I wanted to see to do such tricks were the cartoon animals I watched on Nickelodeon, Disney, and Cartoon Network. Just seeing the animals do them in real life was just a joke!

Even as a child, I was SADDENED for the animals and all the humiliating tricks they had to perform. I was 5 (and back in 1996) when I saw my first (and last) circus. They were going to perform a trick with a tiger, but the tiger was FREAKING OUT! Like, having a panic attack freaking out. They just set that guy backstage and even as a kid, I wondered if he was being beaten for performing poorly.
I told my dad, "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!"
Why are people so stupid? Those animals are being hurt!

It has been proven that Ringling Bros beats their animals. electric prods and bullhooks are used to make elephants learn stupid tricks, shock collars are used on tigers. Prison inmates doing life in jail have a better life than Ringling's animals-"THE CRUELEST SHOW ON EARTH!"
Great video.
