STAR WARS EP3 Recut - The Mustafar Duel: Anakin vs. Obi-Wan

I've always wanted to see this duel from another angle. Different score, edited differently, etc. Don't get me wrong, I love the original and the score. How can you NOT love that battle of heroes theme? The problem I had with the original score however, was that that "theme" was only heard at very brief moments. The whole "Anakin vs Obi-Wan Duel" score as a whole, was pretty good, but could have been better, in my opinion. Keep in mind that EP3 is my favorite of the new prequal, musically. I just wanted to see a different take on this duel. So I just had fun with it. I chose "Escape" by Craig Armstrong as the music for this edit. I've always felt this song was very "Star Wars". It's got a major epic feel to it, and brings out the emotion of this duel pretty well I think.

Yes I know that. Everyone knows Star Wars in not out in blu-ray yet. I just mean HD quality "render" through my software. See even though the source footage is not true HD, rendering it in HD quality is far superior than rendering in standard HQ (high quality). In editing software you can HD render standard def clips, it doesn't matter.

Nah, the Ep. V duel on Bespin is still the best one by far, blows chunks off this overly-choreographed dance-off. There are some nice moments (like the one @ 1:35 - 1:49), but it's too long and filled with ridiculous ones (1:05, 2:26, everything after 4:30 . . . rope swinging and lava surfing, really?).

By far the best and most dramathic duel in the Saga. Specially when you remember Darth Vader sabering old Obi Wan at Death Star and you see how things could have been. This duel Is everything on Star Wars. Epic, indeed, great job.

if they were to end it quickly one could say noone of them really tried, otherwise they could have used openings to attack (instead of just walking towards the enemy) or cut certain pipelines/droids the other person was standing on *g*^^ - but extremely well done vid, rly love the different backround music
