This is probably the most professional version of Justin Miller's effect "autograph" you would find here on Youtube. I have seen the other videos that show people performing it (which is not many), which is why I can state this quite confidently. A few performers even made me cringe in disgust; for example, there is this one performer who shows quite an example to others as to why one should never perform autograph with Guardians decks. (Those who own the effect will understand what I mean)

This is not the same style as Justin would normally perform or even *teach*; this goes beyond simply "making this my own," since the other thing is that Justin *personally* taught me one of the three modifications made to this effect. I taught him the other. The last two-part modification (the first part being optional) is based on forces taught in Jay Sankey's "Final Fusion" effect.

I hope this works out for you all,

  • This is not bad, however i personally am not a fan of of the phone-checking-date-thing. I mean this in the nicest way possible, but if you do want to do that dont have it as part of your presentation. After you sign it say "ok, lets just check my phone make sure im right" dont even mention your phone before signing the card. Overall it was pretty good though

Check out my performance of autograph!

  • @LPMagic341 Neither am I. I never do this in actual performance; doing this was solely for the purposes of the camera, since I was recording this all by myself. IRL, I simply go through the performance and then someone ends up correcting me (or I just check on a whim). It's not a problem in my methodology, but doing this for a camera as a demonstration has its limits.

I also checked it out! It could use some work, but keep trying. PM me and I'll explain a few of the additional tips I used!

  • Now damit that is the best performance of Autograph on youtube (besides the original of course ;)

  • I. *cannot*. Agree. More.

Even so, I regard this as different from the original. Did you find all the modifications? From who?

I'd like to hear it! ;)

  • no tutorial??

  • no tutorial?? hehehehe

  • Well, it certainly is a seamless performance. I watched the original with JM on the street and I liked both a lot. I'm not really versed all that well in magic technique, so I can't really say I'm sure I picked up on the modifications (plus I work 2nd shift now and it is 3 am in the morning). At any rate, the trick flowed really well and I think your double lifts (I'm assuming there were quite a few) were extremely well done!

  • very nice performance.
