Ozzie and Harriet - Tutti-Frutti Ice Cream (3/3)

The Nelsons gather after dinner and begin to discuss a newspaper article about a young boy who was lost until located by Sgt. Dolan of the local police department. Sgt. Dolan treats the boy to a huge tutti-frutti ice cream cone while waiting for the boy's parents to arrive.

When Ozzie and Harriet recall the ample portions of tutti-frutti ice cream they enjoyed as kids,
Ozzie just can't seem to shake his craving for his favorite flavor from long ago. Ozzie dreams of tutti-frutti ice cream and awakens suddenly to begin a night long search for one of his joys of long ago.

This is believed to be episode ten of season six with an original air date of December 11th, 1957.

This has got to be THE Ozzie and Harriet episode for the ages. It's said that during

the Cold War the Soviets monitored the show to see what was going on in America!

This episode had to have really put them through their paces. It has everything: psychology (obsession, dream sequence), technology (Kodak camera commercials),

economics (Kodak camera for 26 bucks!), myth debunking (O & H sleep in same bed!), great character actors, music (all four Nelsons sing!) and dance (sexy H doing Charleston)

I'm 64 and I remember this episode from when I was a kid with my younger brother - we lived like the Nelsons and in today's society I'm glad we did..I'm in show biz and I hate the ones who put this down as crap...it's what made us who we are today...My two boys have seen the shows - they laugh but they say it's like our family today in 2011...the boys are 21 and 17 like rick and dave...

@in2food my Dad was making about $100 a week....we were buying a tract house and we owned a car... so $82.50 was a lot of money. We had a lifestyle that would be poverty today but were as happy as we could be. Maybe material wealth doesn't bring happiness, ya think?
