@fuuchan27 It still decreases the chances of contamination. It's unlikely that one would visit the washroom with the gloves on so it's less likely that the gloves could get germs through not washing one's hands or touching the washroom door that others have touched then resume cooking (and touching the cooking utensils). The hepatitis A virus, for e.g., doesn't just jump from the washroom to the kitchen. Cuts in bare hands is another way that disease can spread.

Glove wearing while food handling isn't standard even in the U.S.
Plus, the gloves are only as clean as you make them, they aren't cleaner than bare hands. If you say...touch something dirty with your gloved hand, its not going to help your food be any cleaner.

On a recent visit to India I observed many street vendors and I must say the lack of poor personal and food hygene is ZERO. The street vendors rarely wash their hands with clean water, The food is festooned with flies... The vendors [cooks] scratch their head, scrathc their BOLLOCKS, Spit on the side, they also HOCK and throw their phlem....EEEEWWWWW.... Absolutely DISGUSTING...

Street food looks tasty, but at the same time I'm a little wary. The vendor doesn't wear gloves and I wonder just how clean that table he put the food directly on is.

BTW, is non-veg food widely avail. in Gujarat? I know its known for its Veg food. Many Guju's just enjoy non-veg food...lol outside their home..hehehe !

It's like a kebab roll, only difference is that the chapatti/naan bread has an egg cracked on it first, so it's like an fried egg nan bread
