Every day, the world over, large amounts of high-level radioactive waste created by nuclear power plants is placed in interim storage, which is vulnerable to natural disasters, man-made disasters, and to societal changes. In Finland the world's first permanent repository is being hewn out of solid rock -- a huge system of underground tunnels - that must last 100,000 years as this is how long the waste remains hazardous.

I was blown away by your film at the IDFA festival this weekend, best thing I saw - incredibly thought provoking and brilliantly made - well done I hope many many people see it.

"Nuclear waste is toxic for 100 000 years", it depends of what kind of atom it is.

Uranium 235 has a period of 4.5 BILLION years....

Imagine how much it would cost to send a Walmart full of the most dangerous material on earth into space, once every couple of months, for 1000 years....or you can dig a reeaaaally big hole and bury it.... What's more cost effective?

I can prove you wrong right now. How?

Look at how much humanity has changed in the past 200 years.

Old age never used to exist; it was literally a rare product.

Now we expect it of society as a norm.

We do not realise what an astounding achievement old age is; we have come very far indeed.

In 100,000 years, we can go further. So, so much further.
