Bill and Ava sit at Towers with Olivia. He's eagerly planning the wedding and invitations for the governor. She'd rather work on the vows. He hurries off to take a call and then returns. He tells Ava that his secretary has sent him all sorts of internet sites with wedding vows they can use. Ava thinks it should actually be something personal. Jeffrey arrives, startling them. Olivia takes him aside. He thinks his daughter looks upset. Olivia says they're just figuring things out. Bill and Ava discuss their plans. He worries about screwing up. Her parents return and Ava announces she's tired and Olivia offers to take her home. Jeffrey walks her to the elevator. He tells his daughter that she doesn't have to do this and reminds her that the baby isn't Bill's. They just want to have a nice family and be happy, she insists.

Jeffery stays at Towers and listens to Bill chat on the phone. He thinks that his future son-in-law must be getting bored with all of this. Bill decides to get formal and asks him for Ava's hand in marriage. Jeffrey admits that he's concerned about Lizzie. Bill doesn't think he should be. Jeffery may not have "the father thing down", but he knows it's his job to stop his daughter from being hurt. Bill promises that Ava and the baby are safe and Lizzie is just a memory. He asks again for Ava's hand and Jeffrey can't say no.


Bill goes to see Lizzie at The Beacon. He tells her that the wedding will be next week at the house. Lizzie is sarcastic and tells him she's fine with it. He asks her not to screw up his wedding. (She's really hurting over his decision) Lizzie grimaces and jokes painfully. Bill He asks her if she wants him to admit that he won't love Ava as much as he loves ... They kiss passionately and then break apart to say goodbye. She pushes him out and slams the door. He stands and listens to her cry for a moment while Jeffrey watches.

Jeffrey meets with Olivia at the chapel. He thinks the wedding is a mistake and Bill still loves Lizzie. Olivia points out that Lizzie and Bill will never work. He thinks his daughter deserves better. So does she.
