"An American Journalist"

"There was a time when I believed wholeheartedly my job as a journalist was to get at the truth." Jack Calvo (Michael Arturo), a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, who earned his stripes in Bosnia a decade earlier, is abducted along with colleague Bruce Howard (John Gilligan) in Iraq. Terms for the release of the two journalists are met, however Howard is brutally murdered at the hands of his Al-Qaeda captors. Stalked by the painful memory of his partner's death, Calvo returns to the US and, after a period of remorse, resumes his duties as a journalist. His first assignment ... to cover the bizarre media circus surrounding former child-actor turned convicted murderer, Billy Spade (David Hayward).
