It's an unlikely trio of artist that are helping get Converse's centennial celebration underway. The pairing of Pharrell and Santogold is surprising that this is their first project together but Strokes lead man Julian Casablancas is a bit more leather jackets than coloured prints, and besides he's been mute since giving a third chance at First Impressions
The fashion of Chuck Taylor ( Converse, Converse)compels them, though, to join forces for the promo campaign tagged, rather descriptively, Three Artists, One Song. Truth in advertising. The One Song is "My Drive Thru," a single-riffed blend that laces up elements of Pharrell, Santi & Julian's day jobs into a perfectly produced summertime pop cocktail.
