Listening to shortwave radio stations worldwide with little money

Want to listen to world wide shortwave radio stations with only little money? All you need is about 30 dollars or 20 pounds. You get a good (and cheap) short wave radio from the 1990s at ebay and a long cable (loudspeaker f.e.) in your radio store. Just connect the cable to the antenna of your radio and your drainpipe or at least put it out of the window and experiment a bit until the reception is best. Die Idee, ein Regenrohr als Antenne zu benutzen, wurde in den 90er Jahren von einigen Kurzwellenfreaks belächelt, doch die Praxis widerlegt diese Leute... Gerade die von Sangean gebauten (und in Deutschland bis 1997 von Siemens vertriebenen) Weltempfänger lassen sich mit solchen simplen Antennen gewaltig aufwerten. Es muss aber keine Regenrinne sein, auch 10-20 m Klingeldraht bringen gute Signale.
