It's safer to take the giant needle!
Filgrastim is is produced by recombinant DNA technology. The G-CSF produced by E. coli is slightly different from G-CSF naturally made in humans.
Adverse effects:
bone pain.
spleen rupture,
serious allergic reactions (including a rash over the whole body, shortness of breath, wheezing, dizziness, swelling around the mouth or eyes, fast pulse, and sweating),
alveolar hemorrhage,
acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and hemoptysis.

@Lavenderrose73 Yes, of c ourse you are - you know you cannot leave the donation process for 4 hours. It's not impossible to limit your trips to the toilet!

What I wonder is what happens of someone has to go to the bathroom in those several hours? Are they just encouraged to limit their drink intake?

@Harvey6711 Could you possibly rub that in anymore than you did? Not to mention that was almost a year ago. I didn't have to be told like I was stupid; that's no way to encourage someone who feels apprehensive (and not about waiting to go to the bathroom either) to sign up.
