Kompany Malakhi Hip Hop Academy

The UK's first Hip Hop Academy launched 2006, in Bristol. Teaching Rap, Turntablism, Breakin' and Graffiti Art. The new term is starting so we want new recruits. There are opportunities to learn and sharpen your skillz and to perform alongside professionals. You don't need to be good or to have done it before; you just need commitment so you can become the best you can be. Artistic Director Kwesi Johnson says 'The Akademy reclaims Hip Hop culture as a positive and creative source, to bring communities together, to dispel myths and work against the negative stereotypes the media have created'.
