  • Nice job, buddy! Nice steady panning and framing. Like an old pro! It's been a long time since I took Renaissance History, is that the Bridge of Sighs at 2:11? Particularly liked the beautiful building at 6:56 with the murals (mosaics?) on the outside. Music was a good choice, too, went well with my morning coffee. Ha!

  • Thanks Ben, I really enjoyed putting this together.

Thats not the Bridge of Sighs at 2:11 - its one of the (thousands?)of canal bridges in the city. The Bridge of Sighs is beside Piazza San Marco in is under renovation at the moment...it was impossible to film because of the crowds looking at it. I have no idea what the name of the building with the painted facade is...I'm hoping to find out though. Glad you liked the music too - I love the piece, so relaxing just like Venice!

  • Wonderful choice of music!!! Evviva la Serenissima!

  • Grazie mille per questa belli immagini della mia citta preferita venizia ,ho abitato prima vicino, veramenté e la piu romantica citta que non hai mai vista . 5*****

  • Thanks so much, violetparme. I love this line from the description: "When (1886) the mosaics were executed, the then new owners were decried by their more aristocratic neighbours as nouveaux riches, and their taste garish and out of keeping with the genteel decay of the neighbouring buildings."

I guess, since the mosaics caught my eye, that makes me a member of the nouveaux riche! I'll take any kind of rich these days! LOL

  • Hello Eire....If this can be of any help: 6:56 :Palazzo Barbarigo: XVI century. Mosaic of Murano glass. Once owned by glass factory owner. Today: showroom and shop of Murano glass. (see Wikipedia for more info.)

  • Red, I regret to say that the YT digital police have pulled down my vid that introduced us to each other...They Don't Make 'Em Like that Anymore....about the old cars....because it used Low Rider as the theme song. Utter nonsense as there are entire channels using hundreds of other people's music. Anyway, I always remembered your story about the grab for the Caddy hood ornament.

    Cheers!

  • bigbeninjax,

I am particulary pleased you saw my comment & replied.

We have enjoyed each others Youtubes for many blue moons now.

I could not agree more, life is the fantastic voyage.

It is that voyage that we share on Youtube...

  • Yep, RK, it's not the destination, it's the voyage along the way!

  • back in the day, i used to leave phila with a fine lady about 1 am, drive to ny, take the ferry around the statue of liberty, and around 4AM walk down the cavernous Wall Street. If i was lucky enough to convince the young lady to bare her chest for the stroll, i considered it a fantastic voyage.

  • I like yr"Venice by night"better;i can't stand Piazza Sn Marco wth the crowd anymore. The last time I went to Venice(a 2 day's trip to go to a concert by the musicians I refer to in my vid/ Venice)I RAN through the Piazza at 8:00 in the morning on my way to San Elena isola; The bank (La Riva): one of the best way on Earth to go jogging, better than Central Park I thought and San Marco desert is pure bliss:it seems to be all yours(very different when I got back an hour later!)Nice music though.

  • Absolutely great, a real pro now !
