A commercial I found on an old videotape for WTMJ in Milwaukee...starring Steve Carell! This was sandwiched in the middle of a bunch of old television stuff dating back to 1992, so this must be from '92 or '93. Crazy. Aside from the floppy hair, he looks exactly the same... (and no, I have NO idea what the bandaged thumb means)

  • WTMJ, I won't listen to your radio anymore. There is only conservative Republican talk and that just doesn't coincide with the political climate of the greater Milwaukee area.

  • @parafleet This isn't WTMJ's video post, it's mine, but I agree with you totally.

  • look at his hair!

do you know when this was made?

let me know as soon as possible

  • Based on the tape that I found this on, it was somewhere around 1991-1994.

  • what's the last thing he says?

  • I believe it's "and that Jay Marvin" or something close to that, who must've been talent at the time (and most likely has something to do with the bandage).

    Yeah,

Jay Marvin was the Loudmouth puppeteer at the time. Claimed he straddled the fence b/w left and right. :-/

  • O Steve! Terrible hair cut!

  • Steve looks much better, and strangely younger, now!

  • @BrewNik They're as liberal as you can get, dude.

  • I think this commercial was from the early 90s. Carell was in Second City in Chicago back then, along with Stephen Colbert.

  • how old is he in this commercial?

  • Amazing that TMJ used to employ someone like Jay Marvin. Nowadays Journal Communications is just a mouthpiece for the Republican Party.
