The judges are just mean because of the ratings. The meaner they are the more ratings they get and the more enjoyable it is for people watching at home. But what the judges dont understand is that people have feelings. It's might be funny to make fun of someone on national TV simon, but think of the person you are making fun of. They will be humiliated— not just because of they're singing, but because of your rude remarks. It's such a shame.

@Objectiveman THE American idol is about the IDOL not just the voice, an idol has good looks good voice and whatever, so yes teeth do matter.

I agree that show isn't the reason for her suicide, but it may have helped to push her over the edge. And, it is PURE EVIL to exploit someone whom you know to be mentally ill.
Paula said that she warned producers that this woman had been stalking her, and pleaded with them not to give her an audition. But, the producers thought that it would have good entertainment value because it would make Paula squirm. Just despicable =(

90-95% of people who committed suicide are mentally ill. It is tragic that she committed suicide, but it is OBVIOUS she was mentally disturbed. Nobody is to blame.
