For our second day of lapping at Estoril, we found a brand-new set of rear tires (about $350 each) on the very same car. We also discovered the car's dynamics completely transformed for the better.

  • @supercooled Nothing wrong with having different tastes. Besides, Porche does build nice sports cars, undeniable.

  • @KrazeDiamond you seem to know more than the average person which I proudly claim to be. If I had money and the Turbo and Nissan GTR were in the same price range, I'd still get the Porsche. I know people are modding the GTR to walk the Veyron but for my own personal taste, driving a car means more than just going fast. I appreciate the correction though.

  • @supercooled My goodness. Sorry but you don't know what you're talking about. GTR DID come from a long and reputable history + racing heritage. Just 'cuz you didn't know about it, doesn't mean it's non-existent. And GTR's old RB26DETT was good for up to 700bhp without internal upgrades, while the current VR38DETT (which was based on the VQ) is good for about 760bhp without internal upgrades. GTR is best known for its after-production upgrade potential.

  • The GTR is a fast car but just because it's made fast OEM doesn't mean it's better than x,y,z car. The people who buy Porsches (save Boxsters and other low-end models) do so because they're paying homage to the rich racing history it brings with every successive models that wear the Porsche badge proudly. If all I wanted was a fast car with little to no heritage, I can get a Civic and put on about $50,000 worth of upgrades and spank Porsches all day but it's still a grocery getter.

  • Both the Turbo and GTR are beasts, the annoying thing is that the GTR makes the 911 Turbo look like an extremely overpriced car. Drive both cars and youll see what Im talking about

  • yea sure the GTR is a great car with a lot of power, speed, and racing technology, but the difference is, it is not a porsche. thats really the main bad point. whats wrong with it? its not a porsche, thats what. porsches are beautiful and elegantly put together, the GTR, not so much

  • When that piece of crap GTR takes Le Mans for at least 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 13th IN THE SAME RACE.... then you can dare to compare it to a McLaren F1. Don't bother. It will never happen.

  • @veyronman Obviously moron. The GTR also understeers like crazy. The McLaren F1 also has a wing on the back for downforce. It is the same story with the ACR.

  • @xxMafia101 wow you're ignorant. outright grip isn't the only thing to measure a car on. A fantastic example of this is the McLaren F1. It only manages 0.86g on a skidpad. OMG WHAT A SHIT CAR.

  • you should drive your mama's van!
