Pocket bike start

A general idea of how to start your pocket bike.

1) Make sure the choke is in the closed position.

2) Drop the bike a few times on the back tires to get rid of any air bubbles that may have formed.

3) Prime the engine using slow pulls.

4) Pull the cord at the same angle it is coming out of the pull start assembly. Otherwise you will not be able to pull fast enough to start engine, and may cause damage to the pull assembly. If you are lifting the bike in the air, you are not pulling it at the right angle.

I guess the "drop on the tire"-method doesn't make much sence. Why should there be air bubbles? Where? That's an ordinary float-style carburetor, I think. Air bubbles can't form in this kind of carb, at least they will be harmless. That might be possible on diaphragm-style carbs, but i have never seen a bike like that with this kind of carb.
