This is an easy exercise that anyone can do without any special equipment.
Often times people wonder why, if raw food is better than "normal" food for fitness, why don't you see gigantic super muscle bound raw foodist's. I provide my explanation based on my experiences and a critical thinking perspective.

  • Well I stick with a pretty tough program, although it is designed for conditioning and strength because I do Jujitsu. It is similar to an MMA workout. I find myself in the gym or Dojo 6 days a week. I am about to switch from vegan to raw food 80/10/10 style. Maybe my experience in the next year or so will shead some light on this. Cause I don't think eating in a natural way stops you from wanting to lift weights in a gym. I'll bet that I get even more muscular after the raw food begins.

  • I do not think that you will lose any desire whatsoever to lift weights in a gym because it is a very large part of your overall MA practice. I am excited for you in this endeavor because I too believe that this will greatly enhance your abilities and levels of performance. Best to you in your training and if you have a chance please keep me informed of your progress

  • Is it possible to become "jacked up" on a raw food diet and be muscle-bound if one wanted to?

  • If one were to adopt the very rigid and rigorous program required to achieve that status, then sure. Just ask a Gorilla.

The problem with being "muscle-bound" or bound by your muscles is that you become quite inefficient in spite of your appearance.

If you do this type of routine you will need to eat LOADS of calories. You don;t need any extra overt protein, but you will need a great deal of overall calories.

  • This is most likely a weird thing of me to say, but I really really love your beard.

  • I'm not even sure that it's fair to compare the two. I feel that one is about health and the other about looking a certain way. I would never claim that body builders are "healthy." While there's nothing wrong with wanting a certain body type, I wouldn't call what they do natural either. In that case, strength and endurance becomes secondary. Size and symmetry is the goal. Just my two cents. Thanks for the informative video.

  • very insightful video thank you

  • that's exactly how i view this
