i wonder why cobra never had a true fighter plane? the always had bombers and copters.
-
I remember when the toy companies would actually advertise their products without relying on a freakin movie.
-
i was fortunate to have the ratler and the skystriker, but had a nice 3 year old little brother who at the time, went to town on my Joe toys while i was at school. So by the time the raven came out in like 86, I no longer had neither of the two planes and only had the raven with no Joe airforce.

I remember when the commercials matched the release of the toy. You could see the commercial go right to the store and there it was. Now a days u see it and if it hits stores at all it's weeks to months later.

Sky Striker looks to be a decent interceptor/bomber, but the Rattler's vertical take off capability and ground support ordinance make it more versatile. Hate to say it but Cobra's got the better machine.

@ReverendSyn sounds very cool!

The Skystrike is getting a re-issue this year
A special redeco of it will also be available at SDCC 2011 painted up as Starscream with a Cobra Commander figure

Ahh flashbacks.

i stopped playing with gi joes the minute someone told me they were technically considered to be dolls.

Those things were huge!! :D
wait did the pilot just eject from his plane to take a closer look?
oh lord, someone needs to cut the joes funding if they are that wasteful.
