How To Flash a Phat Hitachi DVD Drive (Xbox 360)

Well, I'm now FINALLY showing you all how to flash a drive! The Hitachi drives are in my opinion the easiest to flash, and any drives pre-78 (like this one) aren't reflashed by Microsoft through updates, and avoid AP2.5 checks! The later of which is pretty much useless now due to XGD3 being released. Anyways, you all have been asking and waiting patiently, and here it is! Enjoy!

Hye , i just want to know. Does I need a hardware on/off switch power same like do as Lite On drive ?

@pudinhad I highly recommend purchasing at least a CK3 Lite like mine, since you'll have to power cycle your drive many times during the process. Also, you're going to need to either buy a PMT Probe or make your own.

Nice one vid, i used this to flash an old drive from a cousin of mine, and putted the key of my old xbox drive which was some, fake drive with modded Firmware, but now i have an hitachi 59 with 1.1 flashed.

this whole flashing thing sounds harder then it is actualy, rofl.

now to find an nearby store that sells that CK3 lite thingy.

btw, how do you connect that CK3 Lite? so it provides power to the drive that is.

@Deadlocked3 The CK3 Lite's main purpose is just to power the drive, I use it to eject the drive when needed and it has a Mode-B feature, but I always just use JF to put it in Mode-B. It's just a regular molex adapter to let you power the drive with the weird plug-in that the 360 drives use.

@spm289 connect your drive to pc with sata. Put your 360 drive into mode b (there are multiple ways). When the drive is in mode b, turn on your pc
