A short documentary of the FSTL shop team's valiant attempt to enter and win the 2011 Vans Shop Riot at Blackpool's Ramp City skatepark.
We had an early start followed by a long drive to Blackpool. The guys didn't stop shredding all day and ended up in the first round of the competition against...........................City Surf from Cardiff. (I must apologise for not getting any of the Cardiff guys tricks on video, it was hard enough to film the four Freestyle riders during the comp, next time I'll be more prepared). The FSTL team beat their mortal enemies from the Welsh capital and went on to place 6th overall (out of 29 shops).
The team skated really well and they were gutted when they weren't in the final. Instead of sulking off back to Wales they hit the jump box hard, to forget their troubles. The guys from Cardiff joined in for a welsh jump box jamboree and everyone kissed each other on the lips. Dan spent an hour on one trick, he's 100% committed to skateboarding.
Then we went home, stopped at about 50 service stations looking for a Burger King. finally found one on the M5 and ate Burgers. Dan was ghost hunting on the way back and at one point detected a really violent poltergeist that was following us down the motorway at 90mph, he did admit it could have been Pulley's soul he was picking up, which is quite evil. Dan is 100% committed to ghost hunting.
We drove for 8 hours, skated for 8 hours, came 6th place.
Over and out.
