The singer/bass player is Mike Garris. He was in Nashville back then I think and I know he played with Del. He had a progressive band in Baltimore called Area 51 "Oh Brother We're Out There" and they were but great music.
McCoury left the group in 1967 and founded the Dixie Pals with Bill Emerson, Wayne Yates, and Billy Baker. McCoury & His Dixie Pals, which underwent several membership changes, played together for over 20 years
Not sure if this helps but depending on the age of the video, it could be one of these two. Bassist Mike Bub joined in 1992. Alan Bartram joined the band as bassist in 2005.
Was Del's brother Jerry playing with him at this time?

I should have mentioned also that the fiddle player is John Glick, another great Baltimore musician.

Anyone can help me out with the name of the singer/bass player?? He's got a great voice, and interestingly he's playing a 5-string upright bass.
