I was playing with the Vale as a kid and Duncan, my maths teacher, and Gordon were my heroes. Amazing and humble musicians.

I was playing in a pub one lunchtime aboot 30 years ago ,when a young kid who was sitting at a nearby table asked if he could have a blaw on my pipes ,nae problemsays I .He then rattled of ten brilliant jigs on after another.Talk about a setback to ones piping Ego.LOL.He was inspirational to me in my piping. The Hills of Perth will never be the same without this man.RIP Gordon.

The way he plowed through Hills of Perth reminds me of how they would have played it in, like, WWI.
...I think that's what he was going for. Nice.
