Play the SNES or PSX version. SNES is actually the fastest but the Dejap team's translation is crap and hugely unfaithful with such retarded lines like "I bet Arche fucks like a tiger" when they were originally talking about the weather.
The GBA game is actually an almost spot-on translation ( "Ragnarok" being mistranslated as "Kangaroo" in one case due to a spellcheck error). PSX also has a good unofficial translation by Absolute Zero and much better (faster) gameplay. GBA ver. plays too slow.

this was only the second Tales game I played so I would recomend it. it's really fun and a great story
