Democrats Vote for Schools, Republicans Vote for Big Oil

(Sacramento) -- The same week thousands of layoff notices were delivered to teachers and school staffs throughout California Assembly Democrats voted for new legislation that would have reduced the number of layoffs by closing the "gusher giveaway" tax break for oil companies. But Assembly Bill 9xxx failed to get the two-thirds vote needed for passage because Assembly Republicans voted against education and for Big Oil. Just last month the Assembly Republicans also killed an effort to close a tax loophole for wealthy yacht owners. Democrats insist the state's multi-billion dollar budget deficit be eliminated with a mix of cuts and new revenues, not through the "across the board, spending cuts only" approach proposed by the Governor. You nearly reinforce mine... Last time I checked the teachers are failing our youth. Teachers are just as greedy as every other POS. I work in Academia... teachers a lazy, a pain in the ass... an when they don't do their job well the don't technically lose it... they just move. You having a GF in education makes your points void since you have a biased point of view and clearly don't see the whole picture. Democrats pushed the business at you idiot because of so many tax increases and UNIONS

The teachers union is more worried about teachers than the children. I work with teachers and people becoming teachers everyday and have only met a handfull who actually care about what they do.

Lets make a state that is already undesirable to have a company a little more so by taxing them until they die to feed pensions. Like democrats feeding GM's UAW union... for what?.... votes
