V is a science fiction two-part miniseries and television series, written and directed by Kenneth Johnson. It stars Jane Badler, Marc Singer, Faye Grant, Michael Durrell, Jenny Sullivan, Richard Herd, Peter Nelson, David Packer, Blair Tefkin, Diane Civita and Robert Englund. It was followed in 1984 by a three-part miniseries, V: The Final Battle, introducing Michael Ironside, and a television series, V (sometimes referred to as V: The Series) during the 1984--1985 TV season. According to Johnson's website, a new made-for-television film is planned for 2007.

The Visitors is the name given to a fictional alien race from the miniseries V and the TV series derived from it. These "Visitors" are reptilian humanoids who disguise themselves to look human, and prefer to eat live prey. They claimed to be from the fourth planet orbiting Sirius, but as with all their other claims, this may simply be a deception.
All Visitors are given human names for the humans' convenience. They are never heard to use their home-world names, either because they are under orders to keep in practice or because the prosthetic appearance makes use of their native pronunciations difficult or impossible.

V (V: The Series) est une série télévisée américaine en 19 épisodes de 48 minutes, créée, écrite et réalisée par Kenneth Johnson. Seuls 19 épisodes sur les 26 qui étaient prévus ont été faits, diffusés entre le 26 octobre 1984 et le 22 mars 1985 sur le réseau NBC. Elle a été précédée d'une télésuite, parfois intitulée V: The Original Mini Series, en deux épisodes de 100 minutes, diffusée entre le 1er au 2 mai 1983 puis d'une télésuite en trois épisodes de 90 minutes, intitulée V: The Final Battle, diffusée entre le 6 et le 8 mai 1984. En France, la série a été diffusée à partir du 6 juin 1987 sur Antenne 2.
