Here's a walk around of my portable amateur radio setup (callsign: NA9N) at the Monroe Clinic-New Glarus Branch for the Green County ARES/RACES Simulated Emergency Test (SET) on 10/03/09. We simulated a pandemic event in the county, and our task was to attempt to link as many of the community-based branches of the Monroe Clinic as possible with the hospital in Monroe through the use of our Monroe-based repeater. With the help of some amateurs in Stephenson County, IL, we managed to link all of the branches (across four counties) with the hospital via amateur radio.

  • 8800? Like the one I couldn't figure out at Field Day?

  • ....Thus proving amateur radio is always the solution.
