Tangible (College Project Music Video!)

Made from scratch, at college.

The idea came from myself and the band members, none of which are shown in the video as they preferred it be artistic rather than contrived from fake images of themselves not even really playing anything so a friend stood in for them - there is only one actor in the whole video apart from a hand that does actually belong to one of the band members, you'll see going to cut the rope.

The music is also made from scratch, originally 8 minutes long, I chopped it down to 2 1/2 though, sadly, due to lack of clips and I didn't want to over do it with repetition - there was only one day of filming between 2pm and 6pm for one reason or another :s but I think I did quite well considering.

It was for a college project, but I did it out of enjoyment rather than feeling like I was forced to :) - I chose to work with the music artists as I felt their sound was so much more real than the rest I was sampled with, there was something to it that struck a chord and I thought to myself ' That's the one!' :D

It's all self explanatory, you will see once you watch it - it was filmed within the space of four hours from a camera that's over 10 years old and one overhead light.

The room is situated within the college, - Drama Studio!

Once filming was finished, I edited it in Final Cut Pro for about 18 hours (the space of my 3 college dates) Lol - I'm a perfectionist, although I still feel the words could be taken out and few bits need to be tweaked here and there, but my teacher said it was perfect as is and the words suited it as it gave everyone the full understanding of it's chaotic content so I left it.

One last thing - the band isn't called Utopia, one of my teachers chose it to fill in the space as they've not yet given themselves a title :)
