http://www.servecoach.com For some ministry encouragement so strong it is almost tangible, listen in on this highly practical interview.

We will be talking about Prophetic Evangelism as Doug says, two words that are usually discouraging and misleading to most Christians But dont get the wrong idea here. This topic is not for the overly spiritual. As this is discussed here this is something that almost anyone in the Church can relate to and practice in a powerful way.

Doug shares in engaging ways (make that hilarious) how just about any of us can connect with the community in profound and encouraging ways. If you or your people lack courage in connecting with the community this interview is for you.

About Doug Addison:
doug had a dramatic encounter with Jesus in 1985 after having a reading done at the Berkley Institute for Psychics. Since that time, Doug's passion is to reach people who don't know God's love. Doug has been a pastor and church planter and is the author of the book, Prophecy, Dreams, and Evangelism.

Doug and his wife, Linda, are founders of InLight Connection located in Santa Maria, California. Doug is a stand-up comedian who teaches courses on finding your destiny, hearing God, dreams and visions, and understanding the supernatural. Doug also trains and leads Dream Team and Prophetic/Power Evangelism outreaches throughout the United States and around the world.

About Servant Evangelism:
Steve Sjogren shares ideas on how churches should start practicing servant evangelism even if their finances are low right now. Hundreds and hundreds of people emailed him saying that this was one of their top outreach challenges.

Servant Evangelism is a simple, straightforward approach to sharing Gods love in simple, practical ways. In 1984, founding pastor Steve Sjogren and several people from the Vineyard Community Church loaded up bags of groceries and bought Christmas trees and took them to housing projects on the north side of Cincinnati. Out of this action was born a vision to reach the city of Cincinnati and the world by serving others with no strings attached.

God is ultimately overseeing the process of evangelism in each person's life. We are the seed's fingers; He is the Master Gardener. God uses numerous connections to bring new children into His family. We are continually amazed at the diverse stories of conversion we hear from new believers. Every person is at a unique place in their gradual awakening to the love of Christ. Servant Evangelism draws everyone it touches closer to accepting Christ regardless of their own personal situation. In some cases we will be making initial contact with people. At other times we will be watering the seeds already sown by others.

By itself Servant Evangelism is incomplete as an approach to sharing the gospel. Traditional approaches alone are also incomplete. By focusing on the earlier phases of planting and watering, deeds of kindness tenderize hearts; so they can later receive the message of God's love. We don't believe Servant Evangelism will work unless we also use more traditional approaches to actually harvest those accepting Christ. As we serve people, God will provide opportunities to explain the Gospel message and eventually pray a sinner's prayer with someone. Many useful aids have been developed for this purpose, including Evangelism Explosion, the Four Spiritual Laws, and Steps to Peace with God.

  • Hearing God tell me to slow down when I am speeding and breaking the law, because there is a police car ahead,WHAT!!!!!! No, conviction will come and let me know I am sinning! And either I slow down or get caught for speeding and hopefully learn my lesson. And having God speak to me that I should have been in the other line because it is moving faster,WHAT!!!! These are the most lame examples I have ever hear I my life! And this is how you play games with the gifts God gives to some and not all.
