240z @ NCRC Thunderhill 4/30/10

Old-school doesn't necessarily mean slow-school. Datsun 240z w/ L28, triple Mikuni 44's, AZC brakes, GC coilovers, Toyo R888's. Car is a weekend/track toy driven to and from events. Recorded on an Aiptek GVS, 720p 60fps.

What spring rates and shocks did you end up going with? Im about to put my Zs suspension under the knife and am highly considering AZC coilovers, but still gathering information.

@SidewaysGts For now I'm running 275 lb. springs front and rear with Tokico Illuminas. The car doesn't rotate too well so I'll be trying different spring rates with revalved Bilstein inserts. Its a work in progress.

That is beautiful. The view, and that amazing Z sound. I stopped by the track a little over a year ago to check it out, just prior to finishing my Z. There was a blue Z there that day doing the same thing you were doing to the other cars. I have not got my car on the track yet, but I will soon. The winning est sports car of all time was no slouch in it's day and with the modern parts and knowledge available........... well your video says it all.

I've since then finished the car far enough that I was able to take it for its maiden voyage from socal to las vegas finally (Long story, but ive been there for about a year finishing it so i could bring it home to vegas). Suspensions next on my list now that im home with the thing.
