  • Only if you're an idiot and can't follow simple instructions, or need to smoke while doing this.

  • if you add too much NaOH, you complete the transesterization process and begin saponification(soap formation). Its pretty important not to OVER or Under process the oil . The amount of lye that you need to add is dependant upon the free fatty acids and glycerol compounds contained within the oil. Basically, used or waste veggie oil has a broader range of FFA than fresh oil, which is why there is a broad range of numbers for catalyst numbers. The empirical avg for Waste Veg oil is between 6-6.5g/L

  • great presentation on making the amber nectar, thanks.

  • Hello like your video

What is the ratio for the acidic to find out how much lye is needed during titration. Also how do you find out how acidic the heated oil is? is it dipped with a ph paper tester which changes colour depending on how acidic it is?

  • I have made many batches of bio-diesel and i would like to know if you know a practical way to test rather or not i have real "bio-diesel" . Thank you

  • in the the winter time do you blend it what are the proportions ?

  • Is it true that spilled biodiesel cleaned up with clay "kitty litter" or "speedy dry" can burst into flames via spontaneous combustion? A friend told me he had that happen. A

  • Thumbs up for using the metric system.

  • @ParleysDiesel we did the experience, and we don't have any kind of problem
