Nowegian Gay Comming Out TV PSA

A Norwegian public service announcement for gay teens !!!

One might say it's an awareness message to gay teens or an anti-hate message to all, or even an acceptance message for teens in general. The suicide rate among gay teens is very high, and any message is a step in the right direction.

Though many people get hung up on what the action in the video signifies, it is only to grab attention of the audience. This Public Service Advertisement was made FOR gay/bi youth, providing a phone hotline number they can call for support.

The music in the PSA was written specifically for this advert.

The message at the end, ""du trenger ikke være SÅ tøff" as translated by several contributors on here say, "You need not be that tough." ... "You don't have to be THAT tough." .... "You don't have to be that brave." ... "You should not need so much courage."

Each puts a different spin on the act/action. Nothing really says if the boy dancing with the girl is gay or known to be gay. Many thoughts can be expressed about it. I like: "You don't have to be so 'out' (in order to be accepted)." and, "It's ok to be yourself; aka, you don't need to be so tough in a way that you are never yourself."

Can you see the day something like this will be on TV in the States? ***** 5 stars for Norway!

@greatland2 - nobody claims or claimed in the vid if the boy he came up to is str8, bi, gay. For all you know he's gay. Clearly you have gay identification issues with yourself, else you wouldn't be so brash.

@Twisted86 - nobody is forcing anything. It's an awareness advert for understanding the people who are all around everyone, all the time. Sexuality which includes gay, bi, str8 and the thousands of variations in between, has many forms. Pedophilia is not a sexuality, it is an illness that manifests in acts of physically sexual aggression, force, violence, and emotional harm.

And as long as gays are scared to be out, you will always have a harder time finding each other. My biggest question is does she like me, you also are asking is he gay? If we can accept each other than it would be better for all. Sounds simple but its worth working for.

Leviticus 19, and isn’t that beautiful?
