That dinette was supposed to be on the Boston Lake Shore Limited! So that's where it went! Nice catch :)
-
horizons are the same thing as the mbta commuter rail's single decker cars
-
The Boston Lake Shore Limited (448/449) also has a Horizon Dinette, which I got to experience, it wasn't bad
-
the silver star has only 2 sleepers now, the silver meteor has 3. it makes sense to a degree as many people prefer the silver meteor to florida as a pose to the silver star which takes longer
-
yes it is! its a horizon diner car
-
i know that but things happen occasionally in the yards. this train goes to florida but obviously the lsl goes from new york to chi-town

Where is the extra Viewliner? Train 91 always has an extra Viewliner.

Apparently it wasn't in the train's consist that day, Matt but I was surprised & shocked to see a Horizon Dinette. They used to be on the Three Rivers until it got discontinued.

Aha! I should have known! But the Lakeshore Limited goes from New York to Chicago, not Washington D.C. to Chicago.
