I'm sorry, I just can't help it. Whenever I hear this voice, I don't hear James Earl Jones...I hear Darth Vader. And it's not a good idea to disagree with Darth Vader. He's not one to reckon with.

Lolol! That's pretty funny b/c I just talked to someone yesterday about that.

My take, is that him being the narrator, being someone with a VERY recognizable voice, for me it intrigues me to listen. To want to hear what's going to happen next.

Lol, but in the past I've seen many movies with him in them, so I don't right away picture Darth Vader when I'm hearing this. XD

But, I think people who were really into the original Star Wars, may disagree.
