LEADER announcing NIC - 1

LEADER K KARUNAKARAN announcing the creation of NIC. NIC stood for NATIONAL INDIRA CONGRESS and the name was denied due to a complain from panicked Congress (I) leaders. NIC later took the name of DIC (K) - Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran). DIC (K) took a wrong turn in the last Kerala assembly election and joined hands with sinking UDF front. After the election DIC(K) merged with NCP - Nationalist Congress Party. NCP is the third largest political party in Kerala just behind CPM and Congress (I) with booths in every single PANCHAAYATH and MUNICIPALITY. LEADER formed the new party on MAY 1, 2005.

Leader K Karunakaran, the biggest political leader Kerala ever seen leads NCP with his son K MURALEEDHARAN being PRESIDENT of the PARTY.
