See easy ways to make flaming and glowing drinks that are safe to drink. These drinks glow under ultraviolet light, also known as a black light.

Drinks containing tonic water will glow bright blue due to the quinine added as a flavoring. Many energy drinks that contain B vitamins will glow yellow or green under a black light. Also, most plastics glow brightly. Glass often glows blue.

Use high proof alcohol such as 151 rum as the top layer of the drink to ignite it if you want a flaming drink. The alcohol burns at a relatively low temperature, but it's still hot so blow out the flame before drinking the drink!

  • how would you drink that stuff?

  • @daGunfrek Just drink the glowing cocktails like any other drinks. I strongly recommend blowing out the flaming drinks before drinking them, since the flames are hot enough to burn or catch something else on fire, though I've seen people drink flaming shots. fire + alcohol = risk of accident
