I know exactly how good Tom Hanks feels by driving a zero-emissions vehicle. I work only 4 miles away from home and I have an electric scooter to commute. It is safe, easy to use, very affordable and totally electric. It is also very quiet and it takes only about 3 cents to fully charge the battery. But most important is that driving my scooter makes me feel really good for not be sitting on a air polluter vehicle. That gives me a great sensation!

Curiously, those who complain about pollution from electric cars & hybrids don't actually give a shit about carbon output or climate change - they just think they have a valid argument against these vehicles. They don't however, as even a simple Google search will show.

Hey Tom, WAY TO GO, we all should follow YOU!!! You are my STAR!!!! Thank you. 1-ev.com

Uhhh....You charge it at the electric charging station? There are already some out there.
When the gasoline car first came out, people said how are we going to fuel up? What else did they do but build gas stations. With electricity you build electric stations. Charging will only takes 20 minutes. Enough time for you to read a magazine or watch TV. With technology improving, it may take less than 10 minutes.

Groovy Tom....but we cant afford these luxaries like you can. How about donating 20 of these to people who can't afford them...and then we can use them to promote the car to people who can....and then they can pay it forward. I still think he sounds like Robert Downey Jr and Brian Ben-Ben.....whatever happened to that bastard??

Electric cars are a solution for nothing.

Hi. I have a couple of Ural 4320s. One's just your straight 11ltr utility truck but I'm adapting the other one for my Agni-TD two stage missile with solid booster and liquid fuelled second stage. I know the Ural isn't ideal for the job but it's the best I could get at short notice. I'd appreciate any tips on optimizing the oxidizer propellant (currently ammonium nitrate) and nozzle efficiency (stage 2). Anyone got any thoughts on tetranitromethane? Thanks in advance.

cost is not the issue here my youtube friend...
availability is the issue. where in the united states can the average joe actually get a 100% EV ???
the minute these EV cars become mass produced... you can bet the numbers of cars purchased will be an all-time world-record, and oh yea, imagine what our carbon footprint would shrink to.
Major props Tom (again) for sharing with us whats really up with these cars. Too bad they took your EV-1 away from you, you seemed to really like that car

we need more of these cars...so what if you have to plug in to juice up..would you rather go broke paying for gas?

When your worth north of $300 million dollars it's no wonder hanks ,obama and okrah can afford these mf'ers
-
well, if you have to go over 100 miles yeah, take a different type of transportation (gas car or what not)
but heck, I don't drive 100 miles in a day (I live 10 minutes from work) and I'd REALLY like something like this

I ust read an article that there are a few companies that are selling conversion kits. One of these is in Watertown Ma. If you google car electric conversion kits you may be able to locate the article. If I come acroos it I'll post here the link. Some of these kits say thelabor is only a few hours with basic tools.
wish I could afford a electric conversion for my honda crx, it has a huge trunk just for batteries, has no electric features and weighs 1800lbs, I already get 55mpg on a 1991 car

I dont need an electric car.. I have an Opel Astra 1.6 16valve engine with 100hp, and 150Nm torque.. My negative record was 5,7liters/100km-s on open road, with 4 passangers+baggage, and with an average speed of 110-120km/h-s.. I guess thats not bad! But you guys in america sure need them eletric cars! You really should change your "petrolcemetery" V8-ths to one of theese :-))

Gonna have to burst your bubble kid.
ANY ICE is only 15% energy efficient, so 85% of what you hand over to the oil companies when you fill the tank is waited as un-usable heat, that's a fact!
An EV uses roughly 10kw/hr per 100 kms so look at you electric bill to see how little that costs. 10kw/hr x $0.10 per kw/hr = $1.00. Even 5.7 litres of petrol costs 10x as much if you're in Europe.
A gutless 1.6lt Astra does 0-60 in about 12-13 second, an EV can do 0-60 in 3 seconds LOL.
