  • @madsketcher That's just it... you're not meant to like it all. Artists should be different. It's good to listen to a few things and find ones you like. The fact that an artist you didn't like made it into this vid proves its point better than all the arguments and discussion.

We hear homogonised music so much that when something doesn't appeal or offends our ears it's unusual. It really shouldn't be.

With focus group, bottom line banality you'd never even get to hear harmonica guy. ;o)

  • Every band should listen to quest love

  • @thirteenfingers Fuckin' Eh man you hit the nail right on the head with this one! I know exactly what that's like...I mean as a metalhead I know it's an acquired taste and so I don't expect everyone to like it. What gets to me is the fact that most people dismiss it simply because it's so radically different from pretty much everything else out there...not because it's "bad" music or whatever. Shame though; there are so many metal bands doing some of the most original stuff imaginable in music!!

  • @yumissweet420 The tune is called "...& On".It's the fourth cut off of Erykah's Album, "Mama's Gun" .It's from late 2000.

Indeed, the live version is quite a bit different...but to answer your question without being a smart ass like some others I have seen...(smiley face) Hope this helps.

  • 2:25---ERYKAH!

  • music bigger than religion? but my religion is small. Like a idea in my heart given by a guide that has no body yet that of energy...who will tell you a psychic thing before it happens? secret voices given at special times saves life's. but cool-Badu hasn't had the experience yet, bless her possibilities anyways.

  • once we redefine the industry..there are people who really cares about musi..but the reality is not everybody cares about the music..passionate people will be out there who will want to share your experience..just got out there and find them..Don't let the industery to define your expereince. Like Erykah Badu said Music is larger than religion..even though can be debatable..so we as business people have to move the industry..for ourselves.

  • Its incredible how we are still naive to the fact that popular culture has realyy damaged the industry..but you know what Artists just have redefine the industry

  • erykah badu be crankin on the low!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i think this is more a problem of the radio industry rather than the record industry. Especially now , when distribution is so widespread, i think its easier than ever to find amazing bands. You just cant look to the majors. I dont think its nessesarily a bad thing either. I look at majors more as entertainment music and i look toward independent labels for music i enjoy in my free time. With that said, FM radio is corrupt and i can see it definitely going out of business in the next 30 years
