Some of these early episodes are right up there with "I Love Lucy", as far as I'm concerned. A few years later, the show would dissolve into a silly premise for Lucy to do one idiotic thing after another to annoy Mr. Mooney, but these first couple of seasons, we really got the sense of the warmth and friendship among the characters (similarly to the warmth displayed among Lucy, Ricky Fred and Ethel on ILL). I think the show suffered after Vivian Vance left, as well as the original writers.

Also, Lucy and Dick Martin made a cute couple. I wish he'd stayed on the show for longer than he did.

The waiter and host both would have known that was Lucy's table. Just because no one was sitting at it doesn't mean it wasn't reserved. They could have easily gone to the bathroom.
