This is a funny one. Bill Maher mocks god and religion and refers to Adam(as)'s encounter with Iblis in jannat as the 'talking snake' story. He also talks about religious ascension such as that of Jesus(as), Muhammad(pbuh)'s ascension to heaven on buraq etc and mocks the idea by flapping his hands like a wing.

@Carpediem8110101 Atheism is not supposed to offer anything. And offering nothing is better than offering lies. What does offer something is science. And science has proven the bible to be wrong. And you know that. It's hilarious that you think the bible is morally good. It condones slavery and the killing of those who don't believe or who have blasphemed their parents. If you think atheism leads to nihilism or bad morals, then look elsewhere but not to the bible. The bible is worse.

You think western civilizations today is great oy vey. There is no hope for you. Humans need moral guidelines either from a homogenic culture with strong values, or a religious scripture. If not, you turn into a whore of Babylon with materialism, consumerism, entertainment as your gods. The only thing that kept USA sane was the anglosaxon culture, community and the belief in a higher power. With this gone corporate greed, raw capitalism, consumerism, decadence is now in charge.

@jordan7787 I do not mock Thor for the same reason. Why mock the god of thunder if believing in Thor decreases my chances of being struck by lightning? Wait a minute...what about Aries, too? You shouldn't mock Thor, Aries, Aphrodite or any other god/goddess. What if they are real?
