RWC 2009: Philippines vs Japan Round 1 pre-match

This is the tension-filled scene seconds before the start of the first round of the best-of-five Ragnarok World Championship 2009 finals match between Team Philippines and the hometown crowd favorite, Team Japan.

Anxiety over the outcome of the fight is written all over the faces of the Filipinos as well as the Japanese competitors. Saying that waiting for the start of the match was nerve-wracking is an understatement. After all, they were playing for the title of being the best in the world.
