French Drains are used to collect Subsurface water. Apple Drains in Charlotte, NC installs French Drains, in the Yard, Crawl Space and also on the outside of walls down at the footer.

System works like this:
A bed of gravel is laid and the perforated pipe is set. Then the MORE gravel is added to cover the pipe about 4 to 6 inches about.

IMPORTANT -
Water does not drop into the pipe.
Water must FLOOD the Gravel Trench from the bottom.
Water FLOWS through the voids in the gravel and then into the pipe that carries it away. So the more gravel the better.

  • Very informative, but where can I download the music?

  • @appledrains TY

  • Very informative video. I am sure it will SOLVE the Problem for many many Years to come.

  • you forgot to line the drain with landscape fabric and put a sock over the perforated pipe. That thing won't work for very long before clogging up.

  • Nice song!
