@natile369369 i mean... i'm doubting they cast the dad before they cast Lucy Liu...especially since this is from the second film. The whole film franchise is a giant spoof and full of intentional ridiculousness. Her dad's white because it makes very little sense... which is the point.

Did u know that at first, the part of Alex was meant for a caucasian woman? They gave Lucy a chance when she was casted in that role. That's y the father's not Asian. Lucy was not meant to play that part.
But I love Lucy Liu, I think she's an amazing actress and I'm glad she got the chance to play Alex :)
