Compact, easy to handle small bales. Ideal for the small time farmer with a few cows.

  • what happened to day 2?

  • @kenzathur Nothing much. As Jocketv8 says the weather was not that hot, so we let the hay just sit there for day 2 and just dry out a little more.

  • Invasive trees. These are on the Plant Conservation Alliance's least wanted list.

    Way to go there cowboy.

  • cowboy? COWBOY!!

That is a derogatory term used by some americans on others. If you want a debate on the merits of Paulownia and the responsible production of the timber, don't start by name calling.

  • Yes cowboy. No matter how hard you try you will never be one. I'm sorry. Driving a tractor alone will never get you there. So whats up with the invasive trees? Why would you put your native habitat at risk?

  • Apology accepted.

I have met some intelligent, informed and aware Americans over recent years, and many of them have used Paulownia to create beautiful hand crafted surfboards. They choose P. as an environmentally friendly alternative to either Balsa or toxic polyurethane foam and resin fibreglass.

Our NZ P. is grown in controlled conditions with no adverse effects on the environment. In fact, carbon credits from P. help offset omissions from countries who have high numbers of automobiles.

  • i dont now, mayby it´s just the quality of the movie but the hay looks a little wet

  • Well compiled video, sound and captions!

I remember back in the 1950s when your so called "small bales" were introduced to replace loose hay. An independent contractor, Wilke from Walton, did what was then, an amazing job in a very short time. A revolutionary change in making hay.

He also used an International baler a predecessor of this 4-50 model by 60 years

  • Very practical and innovative, Uncle Rod. Those cows must be grinning.
