@japanshitful I understand where you are coming from, but that is an outdated sentiment. Today's Japan is a nation of laws. Emperor or the military no longer has the power to dictate our foreign policy. There are couple of countries in East Asia that we must watch closely, but Japan is not one of them.

P.S. I want to thank the great men & women of JSDF for their service. I live in the States, and I chipped in what I can, but JSDF really came through. Thank you!

自衛隊という名称は早く国防軍と改めるべき。でもそうすると近隣­諸国を刺激するって輩もいるがそれは違う。支那のメディアでは自­衛隊を「日本軍」って明記してるんだし、他国から見たらやっぱり­軍隊なんだな。じゃあ我が国は軍じゃなく自衛隊とよんで誰を誤魔­化そうとしているのか？

それはやっぱり自国民を誤魔化そうとしているからにすぎない、は­っきり言って無意味。どうせ自衛隊と呼んでも他国は軍と見なすん­だから、この際名実ともに軍に昇格して、隊員達をそれ相応の待遇­と認知を与えるべき。
