you know i think it's so weird that when people talk about eating disorders they always talk about bulimia or anorexia but binge eating is a eating disorder too and people forgett about it.more people suffer from binge eating than from anorexia or bulimia and it makes you really depressed as well and just because it's not so fascinating for others doesn't mean we should ignore it.yeah you need disipline and self control for anorexia and you have to purge for bulimia but binge eating is fatal too

some people who are under weight with ana/mia may only be suffering for a week or so because they may have been under weight or close to under weight already. NEVER DETEMINE THE SERVERITY OF AN ED ON THE WEIGHT OF THE PERSON!

This video makes me feel so much better. I know thats a odd thing to say, but it is much better to see people talking about it. I have been so confused since i was 11 - but i still wouldn't class myself as anorexic as i have a normal weight,i suppose this video helped with that as you explained that it is in a mental mindset. As you said, anorexia is a very quiet subject, that needs to stop, it is just getting worse. Thankyou for posting this video, im sure it has helped a lot of people. xx

@lilmover You might have to put something like a quote or something in there Jayce because supposedly it looks as if I am advocating an Eating Disorder as a lifestyle choice :S
wonderful video. I had bulimia for two years, never even coming close to being underweight... so I relate. and I, too took it out on myself.
I was painfully out of control, never told anyone about it, and I'm so thankful that I've been able to slowly recovery on my own by watching videos like yours on youtube.
much love, and I hope your recovery goes well too

k, the only problem I have with this is at 1:12 where she says that eating disorders are "lifestyle choices." WRONG! We dont CHOOSE to do this to ourselves. It's mental illness. It's a symptom of whats REALLY wrong. Eating Disorders awareness week is NOT about lifestyle choices, but the illnesses of eating disorders. Saying they are "lifestyle choices" indicates that we're making the CHOICE to be sick. ABSOLUTELY NOT!

@TrustorBust716 aww you've got the wrong end of the stick, we were dispelling myths and she was saying that one of the myths is that ed's are lifestyle choices. . . then we went to defend us. . . WE DEFINITELY do not think they are lifestyle choices. . . hope that clears it up xxxxxx

@TrustorBust716 That wasn't what I said at all. Before Jaycee edited and cut it before I said that one of the myths of Eating Disorders are that they are lifestyle choices. The whole point of my speech was to dispel that myth and if you had listened to Michelle saying before me that we were changing myths and stigma then I went on to explain a myth. You completely have the wrong idea.
